About Jana

As the Executive Director and Founder of Jana Lee Consulting, Jana Lee is a dedicated education professional with a wealth of experience spanning 15 years. Specializing in data-driven instruction tailored to ensure the needs of every learner is met, she collaborates with educators and leadership nationwide offering sustainable strategies through personalized coaching, professional development, and seminars. Jana's passion lies in helping close the achievement gap, empowering teachers, and guiding leaders to develop systems and processes that deliver results.


Jana's educational journey started as the founding Special Education teacher at The Young Women’s Leadership School of the Bronx, where, as Department Chair and Instructional Lead, she developed the schools Special Education Department. Jana then transitioned to the consulting realm, beginning her venture at The Writing Revolution where she provided training to teachers of various levels and experiences in The Hochman Method, an evidence-based approach to teaching writing.

Proud founder of New Jersey’s first proposed all-girls public school, Jana is completing her doctorate in Reading, Language, and Literacy, and has a masters in Special Education and Educational Leadership. Jana brings a unique blend of classroom expertise, leadership experience, and instructional coaching skills to foster impactful learning outcomes for school-communities.

In this session, Coaching Inclusion: Using Strength-Based Coaching to Support Our Ever- Changing Student Population,  participants will explore a strength-based instructional coaching framework that leverages the strengths of teachers and students to support diverse learners' needs. The session focuses on how inclusive classroom practices can be enhanced through targeted instructional walkthroughs and strengths-based feedback that celebrate diversity, promote equity, and meet the evolving needs of students in inclusive settings.  As student demographics and needs continue to change, understanding how to utilize asset-based instructional coaching to create a truly inclusive environment, is more important than ever.

In this session, participants will:

  • Examine how strength-based instructional coaching fosters a strengths-based approach to inclusion, helping educators recognize and build upon the unique assets each student brings to the classroom.

  • Explore practical coaching techniques that guide educators in differentiating instruction and creating inclusive learning environments that support students with diverse abilities and backgrounds.

  • Learn strategies for addressing common challenges that teachers face in implementing inclusive practices, while still ensuring all students are supported and valued in the school-community.

This session will help leaders and coaches build upon the existing strengths, talents, and assets of teachers to further support all learners.
