PRERECORDED SESSION:

From Paper to Practice: Implementing IEPs with Confidence in the General Education Classroom

About Stephanie

My name is Stephanie and I am the author behind Mrs. D’s Corner & The Intentional IEP. I’m your go-to-girl for inspiration on everything elementary special education. My passion is making grade-level content functional, engaging, and meaningful for all students, and to make learning fun and easy by providing tried and true lessons and activities that are implementation ready, differentiation provided.

With 14 years in the field, I know first hand how exhausting teaching can be, yet how absolutely wonderful and life changing it is. You have to keep yourself healthy, and you need to take time for you. My goal is to provide teachers with materials they need to save time… giving them more time to actually teach. Giving them more time to make a difference. And ultimately giving them more relax time, more “YOU” time!

SESSION

From Paper to Practice: Implementing IEPs with Confidence in the General Education Classroom

IEPs can feel confusing, especially when you’re not sure what parts matter most for your role as a general education teacher. In this session, we’ll break down the IEP into simple parts so you know what to look for and how to use it in your classroom. You’ll learn which sections of the IEP to focus on, how to find helpful information quickly, and how to support students with IEPs without adding more to your already full plate. We’ll talk about how to make small changes to lessons, work with support staff, and use classroom tools you already have to help students succeed. This session is not about doing more—it’s about working smarter and feeling confident that you are doing what’s best for all your students, especially those with IEPs. Whether you are brand new to IEPs or just want to better understand how to use them in your teaching, this session will give you clear steps and real classroom ideas to take IEPs from paper to practice with confidence.
